Oh To Be Wise Meditations

What is sin? It's almost taboo now to say it, like something outdated and not for our time. Do we stay in our sins and make the best out of it? People struggle with real problems everyday, and many times its not even there own fault. Sin touches everything and has crippled our world in so many horrible ways. If your not a believer in Christ, than admitting sin is a weakness to society and culture. Rather than trying to overcome what God calls sin, the world wants to give you sympathy for the misery your in. Calling sin good and removing the boundaries of what is evil. This is dangerous in a world that is sustained by a Holy God. Justice happens everyday without you realizing it. Sure many people live long lives, but death is the great equalizer for all humanity. Evil does not last forever, Kingdoms are brought down low, and wicked people are destroyed and are never remembered. What is sin? Even though its an old archaic concept, its still valuable for today to a world that is growing in knowledge without moral restraint. God is the author of wisdom and established everything we see around us by it. He knows how this world works and what is needed for continual survival. Think about this, we live in a decaying world not just in the earthly sense but in a humanity sense. Hearts are getting colder and people are dividing on so many issues. The earth is groaning with all these earthquakes and global warming threats. Our way of living in this world is perishing and until we address the old beaten down elephant in the room, the groaning's will get worse. We as a society have to address what is sin head on, and not keep pushing it under the rug of sympathy. What God calls sin will fester and ruin a society, a nation, and the world. To the child of God, sin is a daily battle of the will. Not my desires but what God wants for me instead. We have left the old life of self dependence and culture. And now we are learning from Jesus what righteous living is all about. The Bible has come to life with a living breathing relationship with the Lord Himself. He is the Living Word of God and is wisdom unto us from God. He is the author and finisher of this thing called faith. It is impossible to please God without it, because all we know in this life is sin and death. It is apart of the judgment given to this world since the fall of Adam. But even in judgment God has granted humanity grace and mercy through his Son Jesus on the Cross. You know Christ came to take away our sins. He isn't sinful, and people who stay one in their hearts with him won't keep on sinning. If they do keep on sinning, they don't know Christ, and they have never seen him. Let no one deceive you. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. Anyone who keeps on sinning belongs to the devil. He has sinned from the beginning, but the Son of God came to destroy all that he has done. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. You can tell God's children from the devil's children, because those who belong to the devil refuse to do right or to love each other. One more time, what is sin? I pray all come to the knowledge that ultimately sin and death and all evil belongs to the Devil and his angels. That even though we live in a sinful world we cannot blame God for all our problems. The enemy of our souls has been ruining lives since the beginning trying to tarnish the name of God. Do not be offended by what God calls sin, He is wanting to show us wisdom and what life is really about, which is to know Him. One day you will die and nothing in this world will matter whether noble or evil. The only thing that matters is who did you live for? Lets live for Christ! He has done so much for us, and is the hope for eternal life now and forevermore. You can have eternal life now even though you know you will die. That is the beauty of the Gospel, and why we must overcome sin by the power of God working in our lives. Meditate 1 John 3:11
