Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Woe to the rebellious children! This is the LORD's declaration. They carry out a plan, but not Mine; they make an alliance, but against My will, piling sin on top of sin. The cure for a rebellious heart is accepting the guilt of sin God has put in you. Not look for advice in others trying to find a seal of approval for sin. When we feel rebellious the only remedy is the presence of God. Piling sin on top of sin makes us so weak, even to common sense. This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD. That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.
