Oh To Be Wise Meditations

God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. Consider that He commands snow to fall on the earth, and sends torrents of drenching rain. In doing so He causes everyone to stop working, so that all people may know his work. Yes, God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. The animals take cover; they remain in their dens. The stormy wind comes from its chamber, and the driving winds bring the cold. By the breath of God the ice is formed and the watery expanses are frozen. Rain clouds filled with lightning appear at God's command. Lightning flashes from the clouds, as they move at God's will. They do all that God commands, everywhere throughout the world. God sends rain to water the earth; he may send it to punish us, or to show us his favor. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic. Allow its thunder to cause you to stop and contemplate the glory of God. Let the lightning of His Spirit quicken you, giving you understanding for your life and purpose. How beautiful are the feet that bring good news. From the wilderness a voice cries, this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. Never has a voiced thundered so brightly than Jesus here on earth. A voice of one crying out: Prepare the way of the LORD in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert. Invite the Savior into heart today and forever. Feel the thunder his love for you like lightning in your soul!
