Proverbs of a 37 yr old man

Stand firm, and you will win life. By your patient endurance you will gain your souls. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. Yes, by your teachings, Lord, we are warned; by obeying them, we are greatly rewarded. We must do our best to improve our faith by adding goodness, understanding, self-control, patience, devotion to God, concern for others, and love. If we keep growing in this way, it will show that what we know about our Lord Jesus Christ has made our lives useful and meaningful. But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins. Do all you can now to show God has really chosen and selected you. Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you. If you keep on doing this, you won't stumble and fall beyond recovery. Then our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will give you a glorious welcome into his kingdom that will last forever.
