Proverbs of a 37 yr old man

Endure to the end. Jesus said, the person who endures to the end will be saved. If you keep on being faithful right to the end, you will be saved. He said this as part of his Olivet Discourse to the disciples, an explanation of things to come. From God's viewpoint outside our time frame, the end times began with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Since then, the true christian faith has been tested by deception, false prophets and the increase of wickedness on earth. Every generation has been called to endure, even when kingdoms have crumbled and societies have fallen apart. Look, the Judge is standing at the door! The time to endure is now. Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we count as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy, He is with us even until the end of the age. Only he knows tomorrow and he will be there when we get there. But till then Christ calls us to endure today. He is speaking to those who are truly born again, whose lives have been transformed by the power of Holy Spirit. Endure today, the onslaught of wickedness and false teaching. Hold fast to the truth of God's word today, so we can overcome the world the flesh and devil. Those who have been sealed by Holy Spirit until the day of redemption have his power working in them to enable them to stand firm. Jesus has redeem the past and secured the future. He now calls to those of us in the present to persevere and to endure to the end. Consider today, that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. Things that are seen don't last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. This is how you endure day by day, by keeping our minds on the things that cannot be seen.
