Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Strength and peace go together. That is why the peace that the world gives does not last. It is weak and has no righteous substance to it. Its full of the spirit of the age that pleases the flesh more than the spirit. The peace that this world offers is very sensual and fleeting. Filling you with all kinds of sinful desires that weaken you spiritually and physically. The peace of God gives strength to the weary soul. He gives power to the faint and increases the strength of the weak. Giving the body a pure vitality that's sustains the soul. An integrity to live in peace with God and man even in a restless world. This world says peace and safety but there is really no peace it can come up with that totally provides safety. Only God can bring true peace to a nation, to a person, and to relationships. The LORD is the strength of His people, a stronghold of salvation for His anointed. We need The Spirit of the Lord to rest on us, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. This is found in the peace Jesus offers us at the Cross. And that peace provides a strength that comes from Christ's Resurrection in us. May peace rise in our hearts and minds as we proclaim the power of the Gospel to this peace less world. Jesus has overcome this world and his strength can sustain us as we pass through it. The LORD gives his people strength. The LORD blesses them with peace. You can go through any trial and tribulation if you have the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. Do not hesitate in the waters of doubt lest you drown in fear. Go through the rough waters and find strength in Christ to swim through sins raging current. Soon we will get to peaceful waters.
