Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Why does doing wrong seem so right? There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. And for some reason the flesh looks after these things. It pursues sin and death all day long if allowed to. Everything that people work so hard for goes into their mouths, but their appetite is never satisfied. Maybe that could be the reason for evil bent in human hearts. What's wrong in the eyes of God looks harmless to the eyes of humanity. We invent new ways of evil and try to make it right, not realizing we will never satisfy that need to do wrong. To do right takes humility and long suffering, and many times a loss to your satisfaction. But in the end who we hurt the most is God. And living apart from Him hurts us in our journey of life. We were created for his glory and when we stray from obeying his word, we struggle with satisfaction in this life. Godliness actually is a means of great gain, when accompanied by contentment. If God be with me I know He watch over me in this journey in life. He will give me my necessary food to eat and clothes to wear so that I can return safely to my Heavenly Father's household. Then the LORD will be my God and I his living stone that He has set up as a pillar His House.
