Oh To Be Wise Meditations
And now, dear brothers and sisters, we give you this command in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: Stay away from all believers who live idle lives and don’t follow the tradition they received from us. Watch out for those who cause divisions and upset people's faith and go against the teaching which you have received. Keep away from them! There are so many people that say they are godly but deny the power of God by the way they live. The Lord anoints hard work done for him. We need to do all we can for his glory and not fall away in idleness. For we are controlled many times by our sinful nature and bring each other down. Being jealous of one another and quarreling with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world? Leave those who stay in that mindset and pursue those who speak the truth in love. We were never meant to do this christian life alone. We have the gift of the Spirit of Christ in us, lets build each other up in the joy and peace of Holy Spirit. Conducting ourselves properly as people who live in the light of day. Not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.
