Oh To Be Wise Meditations
LORD, give me great instincts. Inklings of Holy Spirit that leads me away from folly and disaster. I was driving to work this morning and I usually depend on my GPS in my phone. I know the way to work done it so many times, but I want to avoid any slowdowns or accidents on the way. I will let GPS guide many times but I do know the way if I had to do it without so I hope. This morning I forgot to set up my phone and I got closer to work I heard nothing from my phone guiding me. All of sudden I had a brain fog and forgot what road I needed to turn on. So use to the natural that I didn't trust my instincts. I didn't want to pull over so I trusted in my instincts of driving everyday. And wouldn't you know it clicked in. Everything made sense and I found my way to work without GPS on my phone. I think in life we depend so much in the natural with what the eye can see that we forget to be lead by the Spirit. But how can you be lead, if you are not accustomed to hear the voice of the God in the Spirit. We depend so much on the noise of the day that we forget to take time in the quiet peaceful presence of God. Feeling our way in Him, being known and knowing Him. Having this direct access to Jesus helps us build supernatural instincts that we need for victory in a sinful world. The flesh will take us farther than we wanted to go but the Spirit leads us the still waters of safety. We need to get tuned to the Spirit of Christ daily so our spiritual instincts can override the flesh and its desires. They are suppose to be dead and buried but it seems to rise up at the most opportune times. Like an animal knows its basic instincts to survive we need the Holy Spirit as our instincts to not just survive but thrive. I don't know about you but sometimes I feel like I am just surviving and never thriving. God is good though even though when things around us are not. Lets always see ourselves as thriving, if we have Christ we have everything we need for today. Success comes from God alone, lets start with great instincts first. Come Holy Spirit, let me tremble at such a great salvation.
