Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all. In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin. They tell deceitful lies, and they don't have the sense to live right. They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots. Their actions are never good. They make no attempt to turn from evil. They gave up the truth about God for a lie, and they worshiped God's creation instead of God, who will be praised forever. Amen. We need to hear the voice of God constantly so that sins whisper cannot be aroused within us. So subtle is sins sway that our hearts are sweep away with evil passions. Its amazing how eventually we will believe a lie just because it makes us feel good in the moment. Sow for yourselves righteousness and reap the fruit of loving devotion; break up your unplowed ground. For it is time to seek the LORD until He comes and sends righteousness upon you like rain. In due time sins power will lose its grip if we hold on to our faith. Righteousness will rise within us and peace will cover our hearts and minds. The fruit of loving devotion is what we need daily so that we can have much grace to work from. An unlimited source of power found in the Spirit of Christ when we break ground in our relationship with Jesus. Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea. Make us faithful LORD Jesus, keep sin far from us so we can enjoy the truth you have given us in your word.
