Oh To Be Wise Meditations

The spirit of fear is broken in the constant presence of God. To the point where you are actually making a table in the very presence of your enemies. In the presence of God in Christ there is freedom. The healing begins right when you step into faith and leave fear behind. I saw a documentary about dogs that were traumatized by fear. They would rather starve to death than receive care from a stranger. They were hurt so many times that there heart was numb to reason. There mind, there flesh held them captive to their fears. But this one good stranger took the time to love on the animal and let love do it’s patient work. It took days, months for the dog just to trust the hand and not bite. Little by little the stubborn dog let the hand that fed it comfort it. Soon it started to come out of the shell of fear and leave the place of bondage it was in. But notice this, the dog's freedom came from this kind stranger. And the dog only felt safe and secure when the now master was around. It was going to be a life time and process to live in the safety and care of its masters gaze. As well as live in a dangerous world with the confidence of the masters love. Fear has a way of keeping you in bondage to sin and death. But the love of Jesus sets people free to move and have their being. Created to have the spirit of power and love and of a sound mind. We were meant only to have a fear of God. And that of a trembling fear to honor and revere him. Never to run away from him and our problems. When God looks for us like he did Adam and Eve. We are to say, here I am LORD. I am fully clothed in your love. With nothing to hide from you, share your heart with me LORD. I am fearfully and wonderfully made to live in light of your presence. Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing. Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the LORD. Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help. But the LORD turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth. The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The presence of God in our lives makes us as bold as lions. But as we allow sin to settle in our hearts and lives we become cowards with many fears of judgment. We need to the constant presence of Holy Spirit in our lives to keep the spirit of fear away and have a sound mind. Study Heb. 12:28
