Oh To Be Wise Meditations
My body, my choice. So I will use my body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. A place of new birth where God is growing new life in me. Sin had brought pain and disease in my body. Killing the things God was trying to grow in me. Jesus took on the appearance of a human so that he could give us His Spirit. His Body, His Choice. So he gave his body as a sacrifice for our sins that we may attain his righteousness. A believer is now born again dipped into a watery womb of baptism. Coming out a new creation in Christ Jesus our LORD. The old is gone and the new life has begun. And since we were bought with a price we use this born again life to glorify God. My body has become his body. My choice has become his choice. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. As a man came from his mother’s womb, so he will depart again, naked as he arrived. He takes nothing for his labor to carry in his hands. Only the renewed spirit that Christ bore in him through power of his resurrection and suffering. God has many sons and daughters, he has given life and not death to the human race. Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. What God gives birth in the spirit let no man abort and destroy. It is to be full grown in you and not stunted by sin.
