Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Stolen Identity. The enemy wants to steal my identity in Christ. I have a holy imprint on who I am now, no longer the person I was in sin and death. The Holy Spirit has a deposit in me that the devil wants to bankrupt. A spiritual robbery of peace and joy in the LORD. One of the worst things to happen to someone is a stolen identity. Its scary for the inured party because its a total takeover of finances and way of life. We need God to rebuild our credit. Sin has left us empty handed and poor in spirit. Who are we without Christ? I dare not think. The human race had there identity stolen at the Garden of Eden. But at the Cross it was restored as children of God, bought by the precious blood of Jesus. My identity is holy and sacred, and I must protect it from being stolen from me by sin in my life. LORD, I pray for all those who have had there identities stolen, not finding a place in this world. You will rebuild our credit through the Holy Spirit giving us real spirit and life to live for. But you are God's chosen and special people. You are a group of royal priests and a holy nation. God has brought you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Now you must tell all the wonderful things he has done. The Scriptures say, "Once you were nobody. Now you are God's people. At one time no one had mercy on you. Now God has treated you with kindness." Dear friends, you are foreigners and strangers on this earth. So I beg you not to surrender to those desires that fight against you. In Jesus we self identify, He identified with us so we would know our true selves. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
