Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Lord, during the hard times of my life help me to keep a sense of identity. To remember who I am now and not who I once was. I can relate so much with the disciple Peter, being so ashamed after he denied Christ three times. Feeling so unworthy to even speak the name of Jesus to others. Thankfully, The Lord confronted Peter after the Resurrection and he repented. Jesus reminded him of his identity and told him to feed his sheep. I ask for the same thing, that in my failures and trials the Holy Spirit remind me that I am a born again Christian. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. No one who has faith in God's Son will be condemned. But everyone who doesn't have faith in him has already been condemned for not having faith in God's only Son. Be at peace oh my soul and all that is within me. Have faith in the Son of God who gave his life for me so that I may have a real sense of identity. This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. My sense of identity comes from Jesus Christ my Lord.
