Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Walk with so much authority that you live out the first will be last. “For many are called, but few are chosen.” My friends, you must do all you can to show God has really chosen and selected you. If you keep on doing this, you won't stumble and fall. Then our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will give you a glorious welcome into his kingdom that will last forever. God doesn't take back the gifts he has given or disown the people he has chosen. And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. Now Christ has gone to heaven. He is seated in the place of honor next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers accept his authority. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. His purpose was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to the eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified. What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. Again, Walk with so much authority that you live out the first will be last.
