Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Mind Change. How important is it to have a submissive spirit to the LORD? It's everything to our faith. We need the leading of Holy Spirit daily. Yes, away from the things of this world and into the things of heaven. And its starts by a mind change. Mind over body, the body is subject to death. But our minds must be submitted to the life found in Christ. A mind change is just what the doctor has ordered for us. We need our spirit soaked in the Spirit of Christ. This body needs to be mastered having sin within us put to death. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. Do you not know that you yourselves are God's temple, and that God's Spirit dwells in you? And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. My dear friends, we must not live to satisfy our desires. If you do, you will die. But you will live, if by the help of God's Spirit you say "No" to your desires. LORD Jesus, give me a mind change. Your Mind over mine. Help me Holy Spirit.
