Oh To Be Wise Meditations
When I read books l like small chapters. I feel like I am getting somewhere soon to the end of the book. Its so easy to get disappointed and overwhelmed when facing large tasks. Taking things at your pace work better at progressing in a task than trying to rush through. What's amazing to me is that the gift of salvation in Christ is like this. Sanctification takes time and it may take a lifetime. God is a waiter, and he will make sure he finishes the work started in you. We can experience the grace of God in our lives one chapter, one area of our lives at a time. He is not looking for perfection from us, but little by little as we grow in grace we become close to it. In Heaven there is a book of life with the name of the saints written on it. I am sure there are chapters of names covered by the blood of the Lamb. God knows every person by name because He takes the time to know his children. Day by day Jesus does life with us and is familiar with our human state. What an awesome God we serve that gives the Holy Spirit beyond measure. Day by day we are given the gift to the grow into the Image of Christ. Like small chapters our days are been read and transformed by the Author of life Himself. Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God. For He did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
