Oh To Be Wise Meditations
More Holy Spirit. I believe our personal problems, problems in our marriages and families, and problems in our local churches and worldwide have a spiritual cause behind them. We need more Holy Spirit to combat the flesh that so easily entangles us. We need to ask for more Holy Spirit. If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! We need our minds transformed before we even approach things in the flesh. Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us. The Holy Spirit is God's mercy to us in this sinful world. We have his wisdom, his peace, and his love to guide for every aspect of this life. Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory under the new way, now that the Holy Spirit is giving life? The ministry of Righteousness is a gift from God to sinful man. Saving not only the very soul of man, but giving humanity a chance to live again even in such a dark world. Yes, more Holy Spirit is what we need. Our physical problems always a spiritual root, come Jesus fill me with your light.
