Oh To Be Wise Meditations
The words of good people are a source of life, its like a vein that is connected to the very heart of God.
They speak life because it is within them. But evil hides behind the words of the wicked. There earthly desires fester out of their hearts into words of destruction. Bringing violence and heartbreak with ever word. The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life though, turning one from the snares of death. There words are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook within. So many people live thirsty lives only having enough water to make it rarely through the day. When wickedness comes, so does contempt, and with shame comes reproach. When the wicked thrive, so does sin, but the righteous will see their downfall. The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent, and their lips promote instruction. They have a source of life that comes from Heaven alone, Jesus. He is the head of this Great Church Body on earth. The very lifeblood of their faith, and when his people speak, they speak the words of life given to them through Holy Scripture.
