Oh To Be Wise Meditations
We need a full on surrender to the plan and purposes of God. Raising a white flag and allowing the invasion of Holy Spirit in our hearts and life. In pride we have put up our strongholds to avoid surrender. Many are still holding out on God with one or two arrows of selfish ambition to do things their own way. Stand down. Send your wicked desires in retreat and submit in defeat the flesh to God. As you draw nigh to Him he will draw nigh to you and put out the old man in you that wants to live outside of Gods will in Christ. Total surrender to the King, put down your weapons of hate and receive a Kingdom that can never be shaken. From the time of John the Baptist until now, violent people have been trying to take over the kingdom of heaven by force. We are no match for the awesome power of LORD Jesus Christ. From his mouth comes a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. At one time you surrendered yourselves entirely as slaves to impurity and wickedness for wicked purposes. In the same way you must now surrender yourselves entirely as slaves of righteousness for holy purposes. Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? Praise God as we surrender to Him, Jesus will give us victory over our foes that have come against us. We have a new king in the throne room of our hearts. The LORD Jesus will protect us and keep us alive. We will be called blessed upon the earth; And he will not turn us over to the desire of our enemies.
