Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Principles have changed. What was the norm just a couple of years ago has already changed. The hearts of humanity are so restless and never satisfied. The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? To satisfy itching ears morals get challenged, and what was a line that should never get crossed gets toed on by every passing generation. People's heart has grown callous; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Delusion sets in and society starts to believe lies that were once disowned. People become slaves to the basic spiritual principles of this world. Gladly putting up with fools, in fact, society even puts up with anyone who enslaves them or exploits them or takes advantage of them or puts on airs or slaps them in the face in the name of freedom and choice. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and all that act accordingly have a good understanding; his praise endures for ever and ever. Respect and obey the LORD! This is the first step to wisdom and good sense. God will always be respected. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy. The world in all its sorrow and divided heart says to the Christian, "Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!" Principles have changed, but God has not changed. What He said was sin is still sin. And what He is said is holy and good is still holy and good. Amen in Jesus name!
