Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Confess your sins to one another so you can be healed! Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more. Receive it now. Don't let guilt lead you to worldly sorrow. Everyone who sins breaks God's law, because sin is the same as breaking God's law. You know that Jesus appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is. Believers, dear ones, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who strives to live a consistently honorable life in private as well as in public, as well as conforms to God’s precepts is righteous, just as He is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God.

Every sin, whatever a person commits, is outside the body. Not so with sexual immorality because they are sinning against their own body. There are some things in life and godliness that you can discipline and change. Sexual sin, and I am speaking of personal experience. You need the personal presence of God intimately. And the more we have given our selves over the more harder it is for us to resist sexual sin. It's a strong desire, as powerful as death. It will literally drag you away into personal hell and keep you captive to evil desires. The only way you will overcome this is little by little being in the presence of God in Christ. If you have time today. I will spend a couple minutes with you edifying you with spiritual gifts and prayer. That is your victory over sexual sin. Trust me. I am only victorious because God holds back my lustful desires within me.
