Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Unfriendly people become selfish. They isolate themselves so long that they forget the cares of others and dwell only on their own life and problems. They even become logically unstable pursuing selfish ends and against all sound judgment start quarrels. Pushing people away from relationship and drowning in their own self pity and sorrow. Yes, the unfriendly are people who do not get along with others and are interested only in themselves; they will disagree with what everyone else knows is right. All the days of the afflicted are evil, but the cheerful of heart has a continual feast. A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.
