Oh To Be Wise Meditations

For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. This is because Christ died and rose to life, so that he would be the Lord of the dead and of the living. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. Paul beautifully expresses this with these words, "My deep desire and hope is that I shall never fail in my duty, but that at all times, and especially right now, I shall be full of courage, so that with my whole being I shall bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die."
