Oh To Be Wise Meditations
This Christmas season name one virtue of God that you are thankful for. What gift of his character do you love? As we see Christmas day coming lets go under the tree of the Cross and see the gifts of the Spirit God has poured out. They all reflect his character and his sovereignty whether it be the fruits of the Spirit or the gifts of the Spirit. I am thankful to God for his faithfulness, for his fervor in me. Every morning his joy and forgiveness is there. He is so faithful. Grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. That is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people.”
When it says, "he went up," it means that Christ had been deep in the earth. This also means that the one who went deep into the earth is the same one who went into the highest heaven, so he would fill the whole universe. The Cross is the gift that keeps on giving. Amazing how Christmas day is connected the Cross of Christ so much that even Resurrection Day feels like that Christmas feeling. Where Jesus was died and rose again for us to have a born again Christmas experience. Oh the gift of the Cross of Christ!
