Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Dead in our disobedience. No longer bearing fruit. In debt to sin and to one another. We even keep trying? Just give into temptation and numb the pain. Constant disobedience leaves us empty and lost. We need grace desperately. We need forgiveness daily. Spirit and life are a prayer away. Obedience can start again even with the little things. You don't have to perfect you just need to pursue Christ more and let him give you victories. Obey and live. Once you were foolish and disobedient. Being misled and becoming a slave to many lusts and pleasures. Your life was full of evil and envy, and you hated others. But when God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. Oh Jesus, thank you for Holy Spirit in me that makes me willing to obey!
