Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Our flesh is like the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air. It longs for sin and pleasure. It is never satisfied and always wanting more. Its no coincidence in the last the days there is a beast power represent by the mark of the beast. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. You are a slave to your fleshly desires to the point you would kill for it. Think about this: There are things in life that are good for food, desirable to look at, and can make you wise and insightful. But it will kill you! Without God your moral compass is useless. This Beast power in the book of Revelation brings with it this mark of the beast. It makes me think if we are a slave to sin we will not be able to resist this mark of the beast. We are people of God that now live in the Spirit with new desires of righteousness. We must become more like Jesus and less like this world or we will perish with this world and its hunger for sin and pleasure. The Beast Power will keep you enslaved so you can live a sinful life that leads to death. Look at Rev. 13: starting with verses 11

The Beast out of the Earth

11Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon. 12It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. 13And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. 14Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

18This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.

Remember, All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions, it is by grace you have been saved. For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. Lets live for the Kingdom of Heaven today and not for the world and the beast.
