Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Do you not fear Me?’ says the LORD. ‘Will you not tremble at My presence, Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, Yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it. Yet so many people refuse to say, "Let's worship the LORD! He's the one who sends rain in spring and autumn and gives us a good harvest." They fail to consider in their hearts that The LORD remembers all their evil. Now their deeds are all around them; they are before His holy face. Eventually your own sins will punish you, your backsliding will rebuke you, because it was a bitter mistake for you to reject The LORD without fear of punishment. Sin and self-satisfaction bring destruction and death to stupid fools. Yes, fools suffer affliction because of their rebellious ways and their sins. Their lack of reverence for God keeps good things from them. Wickedness has deprived people of wonderful blessings. Sin has robbed so many of the LORD's bounty found in Christ. The righteous rejoices in the strength of the LORD. How greatly they rejoice in his deliverance. For He has given them his heart’s desire; withholding nothing they requested in Jesus name. Greeting them with rich blessings and with a crown of pure gold on their heads. They asked to live a long time, and He promised them life that never ends. Through the victories in Christ gained we are highly honored and made famous in heaven. Oh Lord, surely you have granted us unending blessings and made us glad with the joy of your presence.
