Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Dead works. What in your life is sin and is destroying your mind and heart? These things are dead works in your life. All sin leads to death in one way or another. There needs to be a repentance from dead works and moving towards a stronger faith in God. 1 Corinthians 13:3 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. Our love for God and others is very important in our life journey. We are spinning our wheels if we are not pursuing relationship with Jesus. We need the power of the Spirit of Christ to destroy the works of the devil in our lives. Its dead works we have doing for years and we are in bondage to sin and death. We need to start living in spirit and life that produces good works in our lives. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. LORD, I repent of my dead works and want you to start a work in me that will continue to the day of your return to take me home. I am tired of dead works in my life. I want to bear good fruit in and out of every season. Staying away from dead works that quenches the Holy Spirit and keeps us away from Gods plans and purposes. Our flesh wants to do its own thing. But the Spirit in us wants to produce good works to the glory of God. So always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
