Oh To Be Wise Meditations
We must obey God even in the midst of our uncertainty and all our questions. Obedience to God’s commands is the true sign of your love for God, and the only way you can know if you are obeying God is by knowing his Word. We should obey the commandments of Christ not as fearful slaves, but as loving children of God, trusting in Him who created us to be in communion with Himself! Yes, we have our questions and perspectives on the trials we face. That is why we come to God in Christ for prayer. Praying not with desires amiss but with learning what the LORDs will is for our lives. Day by day as we pray and walk in obedience to his word Gods will is being walked out by us in faith. Many times its not going to make sense and much suffering is involved. So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Amen. Obedience is getting us closer each day to knowing Gods perfect will for our lives. As we obey more we trust more and submit our hearts and lives to Jesus. Oh LORD let our obedience that only happens through the Holy Spirit working in us, lead to the way to have eternal life- to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
