Oh To Be Wise Meditations
And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the LORD, have spoken!” Amen. It is so easy to be hurt by people. To be let down by people, and to stay away from people. God does not want us to fear man. The LORD does want us to respect and honor man, but to not fear man. We can say with confidence, “The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? Listen to me, you who know right from wrong, you who cherish my law in your hearts. Do not be afraid of people’s scorn, nor fear their insults. Amen. Oh Jesus, help me to live authentic before you and have personal integrity. If I honor you and live for you, you will protect me from the folly of man. There is no pleasing man, only pleasing you Jesus gives true satisfaction and hope. Amen. God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. When people’s lives please the LORD, even their enemies are at peace with them.
