Oh To Wise Meditations
Destroy fear in me LORD. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. You, Jesus, are the light that keeps me safe. I am not afraid of anyone. You protect me, and I have no fears. Why should I be afraid in times of trouble, when I am surrounded by vicious enemies? They trust in their wealth and boast in their great riches. Yet they cannot redeem themselves from death by paying a ransom to God. Redemption does not come so easily, for no one can ever pay enough to live forever and never see the grave. What you gain by doing evil won't help you at all. Obeying God is the only way to be saved from death. Blessed is the one you discipline, LORD, the one you teach from your law; You give them rest from days of trouble until a pit is dug to trap the wicked. Perfect love casts out of fear. Discipline fear out of me Jesus and give me the strength to say: I am sure that nothing can separate us from God's love--not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God's love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord! Meditate 2 Tim 1:7
