Yes, oppression often contributes to it. But poverty many times is brought upon oneself by foolish actions. Here are some causes of poverty that you would do well to look over. If you are continually lazy, one who talks instead of working is destined to be poor. If your a person who is in a hurry to make money rather than diligently carrying out thoughtfully made plans. Also, the greedy person who tries to grasp everything for themselves, withholding what is rightly due to others, will lose it all eventually. For sure the lover of pleasure will consume money as fast as it appears. And the person who gets ahead by oppressing the poor or by showering gifts on the rich will end in poverty. Review over this wisdom from the living word of God and ask Jesus to help you do the opposite of these foolish actions. Study Prov. 19:2
