Proverbs of a 36 yr old man

Compete. Don't give up so easily during life trials and tribulation. Or when getting caught in sins net, wrestle out of it by fighting the good fight of faith. You are called to contend for the faith. To keep consciously striving to win the prize for which Christ Jesus has already won us to himself. To possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed us. We must make this gift of salvation our own, because Christ Jesus has made us his own. A contender is not crowned unless they compete according to the rules. So then, we must forget what is behind us and reach forward to what is ahead. Look ahead to the white line of tape Christ has already broken through for us. Victory is ours if only we would compete! What a shame to not finish the race Christ has called you to run. Go towards the goal, so you can win the prize of being called to heaven. This is the prize God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done. Contend for the sake of the Gospel so that you may share in its blessings. Fight, run, strive-in other words, compete earnestly for the faith.
