Praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is so good, and by raising Jesus from death, he has given us new life and a hope that lives on. In Christ we have such a priceless inheritance being kept in heaven for us. Pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. It will never wear out or get old. Nothing can destroy it. It will not spoil or go bad. Sin cannot affect it. It will not lose its beauty. It is not like metal that stops shining. Nor is it like a light that goes out. God keeps this inheritance safe in heaven. Remember, an inheritance is what becomes yours by law after the death of the present owner. This inheritance means that we as Gods children receive what Jesus has done for us through his death and ressurection.This includes eternal life now and a new body when Jesus comes again. God will also give us rewards in heaven. But we do not know what these rewards will be. We receive just a small part of God’s promises in this life. We will receive his promises completely in heaven. God gives the Holy Spirit to each of us as a guarantee of this inheritance. A redeemed life is proof that he will keep his promise. Do not be modest with the deposit of Holy Spirit. Ask the Lord to generously pour over you the oil of gladness, its more valuable in you and through you. Study Acts 20:32
