Oddly, you can see the speck in your friend's eye, but you don't notice the log in your own eye. Once you squint and water your own spiritual eye in the Holy Spirit removing away your pride and hypocrisy, the only thing left is motive. The motive was to remove the speck out of your friends eye that you once saw. Now that you clearly can see you realize that its more than just a speck in your friends eye. Its a huge log that you cannot remove for them and they cannot do for themselves. Only the water of Holy Spirit can flush out an evil desire from deep within. Many have plucked their own eyes out in pursuit of perfection and cannot see the beauty of Christ's righteousness. It is like stirring rivers of living water where one can go to be cleansed, from imperfect to perfect. When you can see clearly through the crystal waters of spirit and life, its because your faith is pure and genuine. Troubles have come and gone, but trials have purified your heart. With your spiritual eyes cleansed by Christ, you can see how God has used tribulation to removed the dross of sin from within. Whats left is pure golden faith that you can see has been refined by the Fire of Holy Spirit.
