Proverbs of a 36 yr old man
Put his name on it. Respect the LORD your God, be faithful and serve only him. As surely as the LORD Jesus lives in truth, in justice, and in righteousness. So is he a blessing to the nations of the world, let all people come to praise his name! For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to Jesus for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. His name is written on our hearts, surely we can do all things through Christ's who strengthens us.
