Proverbs of a 36 yr old man
How frail is humanity! Human beings born by women are short-lived and full of trouble. It's all part of life, like sparks shooting skyward. Our bodies ache during the day, and work is torture. Then at night our thoughts are troubled. It is useless to work so hard for a living, getting up early and going to bed late. For the LORD provides for those he loves, while they are asleep. So, don't give up and be helpless in times of trouble. If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength! Consider Jesus who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hold on tight to common sense and sound judgment! Keeping them in mind, as it is a gift from the Spirit of Christ. With your faith in Jesus you can go safely on your way and never even stumble. You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. You will not have to worry about sudden disasters, such as come on the wicked like a storm. For the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared. In the fear of the LORD one has strong confidence and his children have a refuge in times of trouble.
