Proverbs of a 36 yr old man

Wisdom Literature. The Holy Bible has a section called the wisdom literature. Included in this section is Proverbs(my personal favorite), Ecclesiastes, and Job. These books are designed to teach you something. There is also Psalms, Song of Solomon, and Lamentations which is also teaching but designed for devotional purposes. I want to go over the first three books I mentioned above. The book of Proverbs is designed to teach you how things were meant to be and not promises even if you follow them to a tee. We need wisdom desperately to be able to live in a world that's full of sin. The fear of the Lord is beginning of all knowledge. The book of Ecclesiastes is designed to teach you life under the sun does not make sense. Its not fair and its absurd because the answer is not under the sun its beyond the sun. If you try to put life in the here and now, meaning purpose only under the sun it will not make sense. The way to truth is beyond the sun where God is, he can give you origin, purpose and destiny. The book of Job asks us, does God have the right to direct my life? Its designed to teach us that God has the right to use my life in a way that I do not like, I do not want, and I do not understand. Clearly yes, because we were created for his purposes and not for our own. We are God's children. He sent Christ Jesus to save us and to make us wise, acceptable, and holy. The Living Word is in you, learn wisdom and truth at his feet.
