Proverbs of a 37 yr old man
Prayer is where time stands still. Nothing around you is of the essence. Only the timeless presence of God matters. We live in time so we must make time to be in prayer. God is on the throne and his clock is not set on our clock. He is able to move heaven and earth to grant his people victory. But it all starts with simple yet extraordinary prayer. The LORD is in His holy temple; let everyone on earth be silent in His presence. For he is being moved to action in his holy dwelling place hearing the prayer of the saints. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth. The LORD tests honest people, but despises those who are cruel and love violence. How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. Yes, you shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues. We worship you, Jesus, and we should always pray whenever we find out that we have sinned. Then we won't be swept away by a raging flood of judgment. You are our hiding place! You protect us from trouble, and you put songs in our heart because you have saved us.
