Proverbs of a 37 yr old man
The time is coming when I will send famine on the land. People will be hungry, but not for bread; they will be thirsty, but not for water. They will hunger and thirst for a message from the LORD. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken. In this time people won't listen to good teaching. Instead, they will look for teachers who will please them by telling them only what they are itching to hear. Not holding on to the pattern of sound teaching you have heard from old, with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Many will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions. They have become idols to themselves, a work of delusion become worthless to society because of their lies. Yes, Idols are worthless; they are ridiculous lies! On the day of reckoning they will all be destroyed. Without guidance from God law and order will disappear, but God blesses everyone who obeys his Law. Look, all our sacred symbols are gone; there are no prophets left, and no one knows how long this will last.
The Lord has given you trouble and sorrow as your food and drink. But now you will again see the Lord, your teacher, and he will guide you. Blessed are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.
