Proverbs of a 37 yr old man

Fruit that never ripens. Their are seeds of God's word in us that take root and produce change. Only to be choked out by thorns of worry, riches and pleasures of this life; these are things getting in the way of spiritual maturity. We need to bring fruit into perfection. Yes, we did allow the incorruptible seed of life to fall on the good soil of our noble and good hearts. Hearing the word, clinging to it, and hopefully persevering to produce a crop. But we still need to be a people that follow through into maturity and growth. And by not letting godly patience to do its good work, we come off the Vine prematurely and get tangled up on thorny ground. An obedient heart is what we need, keeping the word secure in honest hearts producing what is good despite what life may bring. No matter the season of life we must stay connected to Christ so He can bring His Fruit into maturity in us. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green. All by itself the soil produces grain, first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. Then when harvest season comes and the grain is ripe, the farmer cuts it with a sickle. Spiritual life is growing in you even though we do not understand how it happens. The Spirit of Christ has sprouted in you and soon you will be ripe for the LORD to satisfy His Glory! I say this with tears, will you be ripe for his Holy Sickle?
