Proverbs of a 37 yr old man
A greater power. A greater power is at work, behind the scenes and in the affairs of man. The LORD has kept the heavens for himself, but he has given the earth to us humans. By His great power and outstretched arm, He made the earth and the men and beasts on the face of it, and He does what He pleases. Nothing is too difficult for Him. How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension! I want you to know about the great and mighty power that God has for us followers. It is the same wonderful power he used when he raised Christ from death and let him sit at his right side in heaven. You who love the LORD, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Your enemies cringe before your mighty power. As no one has power over the wind to contain it, so no one has power over the time of their death. As no one is discharged in time of war, so wickedness will not release those who practice it. Can an ax attack the person who cuts with it? Can a saw make itself greater than the person who saws with it? A rod cannot move the person who lifts it. A wooden stick cannot pick up a person. So the LORD cannot be moved or shaken, He makes the heavens and the earth tremble with just the hammer of His Word! You have faith in God, whose power will protect you until the last day. Then he will save you, just as he has always planned to do. We know that we are of God, and that the whole world is under the power of the evil one. We know that Jesus Christ the Son of God has come and has shown us the true God. And because of Jesus, we now belong to the true God who gives eternal life. A greater power is at work, trust in the power of Christ's love.
