Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

The sayings of the wise are like the sharp sticks that shepherds use to guide sheep, and collected proverbs are as lasting as firmly driven nails. They have been given by God, the one Shepherd of us all. Wise sayings are not always easy to understand at first. Sometimes it takes effort, time, and maturity to comprehend a deeper insight. Be willing to struggle to understand things that are difficult to comprehend. The struggle sharpens your understanding and increases your wisdom. Though good advice lies deep within the heart, a person with understanding will draw it out. A thorn bush waved around in the hand of a drunkard is no worse than a proverb in the mouth of a fool. Yes, like the useless legs of one who is lame is a proverb in the mouth of a fool. Keep this mind: The word of God needs to be carefully listened to and studied, so that you can find delight in expressing truths correctly. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment.
