Proverbs of a 38 yr old man
Search your heart. Search your soul. Deep inside you there is a fire to be known, to have meaning and to have purpose. God does great things too marvelous to understand. He performs countless miracles. He created our inmost being and knitted us together in our mother’s womb. We have sinned and done wrong since the day we were born. But behold, the LORD desires truth in the innermost being, and in secret will He make wisdom known to you. He has put eternity in our hearts, but man cannot discover the work God has done from beginning to end. Who has put wisdom in the heart or given understanding to the mind? God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has resisted Him and prospered? Search your heart. Truly a spirit is in a man and the breath of God is discernment to them. It is not only the old who are wise, not only the aged who understand what is right. Search your soul. Wisdom and strength belong to God; counsel and understanding are His. God is mighty, but despises no one; he is mighty, and firm in his purpose. And his purpose from the beginning for you was and is and has always been to know Him. For when you seek the LORD he answers you. He frees you from all your fears. Yes, hear our LORD Jesus say: I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.
