Proverbs of a 38 yr old man
The wise don’t make a show of their knowledge, but fools broadcast their foolishness. Wise people think before they act; fools don’t, and even brag about their foolishness. Think about this: A wise man is still wise, even if he does not speak. His actions speak louder than his words and it shows in the way he carries himself. Many times you can identify fools just by the way they walk down the street! But most of the time foolishness in the heart is shown by the words we speak. We think we need to talk a lot to show we are wiser than others. Our great example is Jesus, the wisest person in the world chose a quiet strength. Especially when Jesus was in court he remained silent. (Like a sheep is silent before the farmer cuts its wool so he remained silent. Isaiah 53:7) Jesus chose his words wisely and did not vent in anger. Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end. Some people are always speaking. They want everyone to hear their ideas. If a fool talks constantly, all his words will be foolish. They do not delight in understanding, but in airing their own opinions. They need to be silent, and to listen. Then a wise person can speak and teach wisdom to the foolish.
