Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

Sin is at your door. I hear a constant knock and pull on the door of our hearts. Wicked desires want to make there way in. Evil thoughts are influencing you to open your mind to all kinds of sins and its exasperating. Also sinners entice you with their fruitless deeds of darkness, asking you to go down with them in their sin thirsty paths. Open the door they say and listen to your heart. Yes, let us eat and drink for tomorrow we die. In their hearts they have opened the door wide open to all kinds of wickedness. Saying," Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry. Oh how the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination! Think about how much more, when they bring it with a wicked mind! The door of many hearts has been trampled underfoot and sin and death has destroyed many lives. No matter what you have allowed through the door of your heart, you can still pick it up and put it back on its hinges. You don't have to give in to temptation. You are tempted in the same way that everyone else is tempted. But God can be trusted not to let you be tempted too much, and he will show you how to escape from your temptations. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. God in Christ wants to make his home in you and cleanse the temple of your soul. Jesus wants to keep watch over the door of your heart if you allow him. For if you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you refuse to do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires you, but you must master it.” Jesus says, Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. One day eternal judgment will come to our door, I pray we all have Jesus in our hearts when that day comes.
