Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

I see a son begging to be fathered. I see a daughter begging to be noticed. To be known and loved is what ever child honestly yearns. Look! I see a child that comes home to no affirmation. Has so much to say but rarely heard. Though they are not great in a particular subject, they long for a good word and affirmation. How many dreams have fallen to the wayside because of lack of encouragement and discipline? No matter if they did something wrong, they hoped for correction but got apathy. Were told they did nothing right, but never learned from an example or one on one teaching. Hear your son or daughter: Please father me. The world wants to shape and mold them into their image. But their heart wants to be loved by their father and mother. Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father who created all the lights in the heavens. He is always the same and never makes dark shadows by changing. He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession. Let us give the gift of the word of truth to our children. The same way our Heavenly Father affirms us daily through his Living Word, let us do the same for our sons and daughters. Speaking the word of truth to help guide and encourage them towards the dreams and callings of God.
