Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

Spend time in silent prayer. There is a healing that comes from it, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Yes, a prayer of travail. Christ being formed in you as the toil and labor from daily struggle keeps you in the place of new birth. It is good to prepare yourself with prayer for what you are about to face or what you are facing. Prayer softens the heart and sifts through the thoughts of man. Praise God, your getting closer to hearing the heartbeat of God. Maybe that is why David was a man after Gods own heart. He learned to listen, to hear Gods heart in the peace and quiet of prayer. Whether it was on a green pasture or near a spring. Or maybe in his kingly chambers or the hard battle field. He had a heart that constantly pursued Gods heart and his word. The heart prepared is a heart after Gods own heart. Oh LORD, may my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. If you are still enough in prayer, you will feel the crackling of Gods fire in you.
