Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

Take notes. Be quiet and take notes. Listen to the wise person when in their presence. Less empty words more astute questions. Show honor where honor is due, crave the discipline to learn and study from example. A lot of things you will learn from others as you simply watch and imitate. Pay attention to advice and accept correction, so you can live sensibly. Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others. Listen to the words of the wise; apply your heart to their instruction. For it is good to keep these sayings in your heart and always ready on your lips. Remember, a good teacher will teach you to trust in the LORD. To fear the LORD at all times will protect you from folly. And when a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom. For it is the heart of the discerning that acquires knowledge, because the ears of the wise seek it out. Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning. Let everyone be quick to hear, being a careful and thoughtful listener. Also slow to speak, being a speaker of carefully chosen words. As well as slow to anger being patient, reflective, and forgiving. Are you taking notes? The best notes are the ones that bleed off your pen and into your heart.
